Introduction to Sunspun Shelties
Sunspun Shelties is located in warm and sunny Florida. I started in obedience in 1988. In 1994 I discovered the breed ring, and was given the opportunity to co-own a beautiful puppy named Taffy, (BISS Ch. WarmWinds Sunspun Delight.)
I am active in conformation or breed, agility, and I am getting back into obedience/rally. My Shelties are sable and white.
My dogs are:
1. Certified by a Veterinarian Opthomologist (CERF-eyes).
2. After one year their hips are x-rayed for Hip Dysplasia (Prelim.)
3. When they are two years old or older they are officially OFA'd to clear them of Hip Dysplasia.
4. They are cleared of thyroid problems and Vwd-Von Willebrands disease (a bleeding disorder).
I am a current member of the:
1, Shetland Sheepdog Club of Southeast Florida
2. Dog Obedience Club of Hollywood.
3. As of May 2000 I became a proud member of the American Shetland Sheepdog Association.
- I am active in the conformation ring and introducing my dogs to agility and obedience.
- If you have any questions about puppy training, grooming, or health issues, please feel free to ask me.
- I will teach you how to train your dogs ears to tip correctly. The dogs ears are moleskinned and glued down till after all their adult teeth are in.
- I do show groom pet Shelties when asked.

**NEWS**
- AGILITY-Sunspun Dakota Summer Breeze earned his 19th double Q's the weekend of May 9. In two weeks he will be competing in Palmetto where he will hopefully earns his MACH (Master Agility Champion.)
- CONFORMATION- TEDDYBEAR- Ch. U-Ch. WarmWinds Bourbon d'Bear NA OAJ, made first cuts in the Best of Breed ring (he was in group 2 out of 4). He was handled by Zana Friend. Guy Jeavons (GrandGables Shetland Sheepdogs) was judging.
- AGILITY-Sunspun Dakota Summer Breeze earned his 18th double Q's. He needs two more and he earns his MACH (Master Agility Champion.)
- AGILITY-On Sunday, January 25th, Teddybear earned his third Open Jumper with Weaves leg to earn his OAJ Title.
- AGILITY-On Saturday, January 24th Teddybear, earned his first Open Standard Leg with a first place.
- AGILITY-Sunspun Dakota Summer Breeze earned his 16th double Q this weekend at the Miami Obedience Clubs Agility Trials.
- AGILITY-Sunspun Dakota Summer Breeze, owned and loved by Cynthia Sullivan just received their confirmation letter that invited them to Agility Nationals 2009 in Concord, North Carolina. Kota needs 3 more double Q's to earn his MACH. Way to Go!
- AGILITY-On Thursday and Saturday, January 1 & 3, 2009, Teddybear earned his first and second leg in Open Jumpers With Weaves at the Tailwaggers Agility Trials in West Palm Beach. Teddy is still being handled by my friend Debbie Canderellie. They make a great team.
- AGILITY- On Thursday and Friday, January 1&2, 2009, Kota (Sunspun Dakota Summer Breeze MX MXJ) earned two more double Q's for his 15th Double Q towards his MACH in agility.
- CONFORMATION-On Sunday November 13, 2008, Judge Steven Gladstone awarded Abbey (Sunspun Renaissance Festival), Reserve Winnner's Bitch at the Greater Naples Dog Club. Abbey had blown half her coat and I am looking forward to when she fully coats up again. She had just turned a year old on Saturday, Nov. 12.
- CONFORMATION-On Sunday June 13, Fresco (Sunspun Italian Reniassance), was awarded RESERVE WINNERS DOG by Judge Leah James at the Jupiter Tequesta Dog Shows in West Palm Beach. He is 7.5 months old and was handled by his co-breeder and co-owner Carol Essrick (Lorain Shetland Sheepdogs.)
